And it is a great pleasure to see how, with your help, they become familiar with Russian language and culture, and Russian people become to them closer and dearer!

Favourite Russian book/film/music: I love different things, depending on my mood. I appreciate new things, but I like going back to classics from time to time.

What I love about my job: meeting different interesting people. On the one hand you help students discover the little secrets of the Russian language, on the other hand I learn a lot from my students myself. The most pleasant words I heard from my students were “How interesting! Such a beautiful word! I feel like I’m starting to think in Russian”.

What I love about my job: I love meeting interesting people at work, especially people with uncommon personalities. I always support crazy attitudes! With my students I have been a volunteer in a national park in Kamchatka and I have traveled on a bicycle from Vladikavkaz to Baku through Georgia

Favourite Russian book : I can’t choose a single one, there are so many! Maybe Доктор Живаго (Пастернак)

What I love about my job : I always love my job, when it’s simple and when it’s hard, when it’s fun and when it’s sad… my job is multifaceted and this makes me very happy. Especially when I reach mutual understanding with the students, this means that there is something deep driving both student’s and teacher’s motivation.

Favourite Russian book: It changes with time. First I thought Достоевский would be my favourite forever, but then things changed. Now I love the prose of Лесков, Пришвин, А.Грин and the poems of Гумилёв.

Favourite Russian film: I love many different films, I’m a cinephile! I particularly appreciate old Soviet films, such as Зеркало. I also love Russian romances.

What I love about my job: 2 things. First, I greatly value those moments when I find with my students how to study Russian effectively and interestingly, I love the atmosphere of openness that comes when things start to work out. Secondly, I love the opportunity to meet a vast amount of interesting people. Like actors, teachers live many lives.

What I love about my job: I decided to become a teacher after participating in a project of the US governmental organization “Peace Corps”, where I met people of different cultures. Having a cosmopolitan soul, I knew I had to become a Russian teacher to share my language and culture with other people. By studying a foreign language, we become discoverers of what is unknown to us, and I love being part of this voyage.

What I love about my job: I love seeing results and witnessing how someone who still yesterday couldn’t express him/herself, begins to speak. I love when students understand their own strength: when they understands the language, when they see that people understand them, when they feel that they can express their thoughts and desires. I love transforming the Russian language from something complex and obscure to a set of simple templates for my students.

I love meeting students coming back to our school again and again and seeing their skills improve each time.
